A cup. A bombilla. That's all you need.
The ceramic mate mug feels warm in the hand, its curved shape fits snugly and it holds 200 ml – just right for a good mate.
The stainless steel bombilla: 16 cm long, with a 168-hole sieve. Filters reliably, does not clog, and lasts a long time.
Why ceramics?
Glazed and flavorless. The mate tastes exactly as it should. No soaking, no care ritual – simply rinse or put it in the dishwasher.

FAQs - Frequently Asked Questions
FAQs - Frequently Asked Questions
Are mate cups and bombilla dishwasher safe?
Yes! Both are dishwasher safe – but it's best to just rinse them briefly by hand. It's faster and gentler on the material.
Why ceramic instead of a pumpkin?
No risk of mold, no soaking, no maintenance required. Simply wash by hand with water or, if needed, put it in the dishwasher – that's it. The traditional shape remains, the problems don't.
How do I prepare mate in a ceramic cup?
1. Pour in 3-6 tablespoons of mate. Hold the cup at a slight angle and push the mate to the side with the bombilla.
2. Hold the cup at an angle, fill the free side with lukewarm water – the top third of the mate mound remains dry.
3. Leave at an angle for 3-5 minutes until the water is absorbed.
4. Pour on 60-65°C hot water. Use just enough so that the mate mound isn't overflowing. Drink immediately, don't let it steep. Repeat until the flavor diminishes.
Which mate tea do you recommend for a ceramic gourd?
For beginners, we recommend our mild mate tea – pure mate leaves without stems or powder, fresh and mild in taste.
What is the difference between the colored and the vintage versions?
The colored mugs are smoothly glazed inside and out. The vintage version is smooth inside, but slightly rough and ribbed on the outside – for a more rustic look and feel.
